Julio Ariza

Julio Ariza received his Ph.D. in Hispanic Literatures from Washington University in St. Louis. He has worked as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina) and Dartmouth College (USA). He co-edited the books Escritores Argentinos / Argentine Writers (MALBA, 2005) and Cine y Dictadura (Comunicarte, 2006). In 2018, his book El abandono was published in the prominent collection Critical Essays in the academic publishing house Beatriz Viterbo Editora. Since the moment of its publication, the book has had a widespread impact that materialized in reviews found in respected academic journals, in Argentine newspapers that are nationally recognized, in well-known literary blogs, and in invitations to present the book at universities in Argentina, Europe and the United States. For the last couple of years, he has been focused on a book-lenght project entitled The Extraction. Scenes From the Toxic Age.
